Syed Sahib Sultan (“I”, “me”, or “my”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use the IELTS Prep App (the “App”) and any related services. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information I Collect

1.1 Information you provide

When you interact with the App, I may ask you to provide certain personal information (such as your name or email address) where it is needed for a specific feature.

1.2 Automatically collected information

Usage data: information about how you access and use the App, such as your device type, IP address, operating system, app version and usage patterns.
Cookies & similar technologies: the App and website may use cookies and similar technologies to understand activity and improve your experience.

1.3 Audio and text data

Some features let you submit voice recordings and written text for automated evaluation and IELTS band scoring. These inputs are sent to a third-party AI provider, OpenAI, for processing.

I only send the audio and text needed to generate your feedback and scores. Your name, email and other personal identifiers are not attached to these requests.
Data sent via the OpenAI API is retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted.
OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train or improve its models.

2. How I Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the App.
To improve, personalize and enhance your experience.
To communicate with you, including updates, notifications and support messages.
To process payments, where applicable.
To analyze usage and improve the App’s performance.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing Your Information

I do not sell your personal information. I only share it in the following cases:

Service providers who help operate the App, such as payment processing, analytics or cloud storage.
Legal requirements, where disclosure is required by law or to protect rights, property or safety.

4. Data Retention

I retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized, unless the law requires it to be kept longer.

5. Security

I take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact me so it can be removed.

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
